Various kinds of application software were created to meet the needs and the convenience of twitterians. Ranging from software application intended for a personal computer through a mobile application for mobile devices like Cell Phone, Iphone, Blackberry and more.

In this post I would like to share about some twitter applications that I recently used.

For mobile phone, I chose to use SNAPTU, it is a free mobile application developed by Moblica browser that runs on GPRS/3G mobile phones. The reason I chose is because it  can be used to manage multiple twitter account and can also be used to ‘walling’ on FACEBOOK

And for my desktop computer and notebook, I like and use several web-based applications such as

CoTweet ™ – still in beta version – it is a CRM (Customer Relation Management) application that can be used to managed multiple twitter accounts from a single CoTweet account – and the best part is you can also assign multiple users to ‘tweet’ by using one twitter account you choose

“How Business Does Twitter” is the motto of CoTweet ™ and it is said that some all size big companies, agencies and organizations (Fords, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Dell, etc) who got ‘twitter division’ in their company’s structures  already use CoTweet ™ to promote their products or services and also to get connected with their customers.

HootSuite ™ - Have the same features just like CoTweet ™. The additional is, you can integrate your Facebook, LinkedIn and Ping.fm

ITweet 2 – it is a web based application for twitter interface developed by Colby Palmer – A Creative Designer & Web Developer . ITweet can not manage multiple twitter accounts, but still it has great and friendly interface.

Of course there are some ‘stand alone’ application for Twitter out there. I tried but then decide to uninstall ….

Reason? Some of them are just badly ‘wasting’ my computer’s resources (memory). Since I got limited resource, I prefer to use it for something else

Online sales through the Internet (aka the online store) is different from sales through traditional stores. On traditional stores, a potential buyer will feel comfortable with the choice because he could see the shape of a product or service offered, at a bookstore for example, a buyer can touch the physical form of books before he Decided to buy it, he could see the quality of paper or may be interested in book cover design and then finally decide to buy the book.

Above such things can not be found in online sales on the Internet. There is a ‘distance’ between the sellers, buyers and product or service offered. Buyers and sellers can not meet face to face, the buyer can not see  or touch the physical form of the products or services offered and much more.

So how do you overcome this problem?

Of course by displaying an image associated with the product or service offered! If you sell a book, then by using a camera – you can take pictures or photos from the book so that prospective buyers feel confident with the existence of the book.

But what if the product you offer is a digital product? For example, an ebook! A product that has no physical form and is offered through direct download on the Internet.

You can hire a graphic designer to create an eCover for eBook that you are offering or you can make and design it by yourself.

Although the blog contains a very interesting information, I immediately said to myself  “Is it a blog or advertising on parade?” Smile, and walk away to another blogs! (don’t expect me to come back!)

Of course, there is nothing wrong to put some advertising on your blog, you may wish to get some extra money on your blogging activities … or whatever reason you may have. But, you must ’stay focused’ on your visitors main reason when they came to your blog, “They want information, not to admire your banner ads!”

It is not wise to ‘install’ so many banner ads, first – too many banners will increase your blog’s loading times, most visitors with slow Internet connection (just like me) will say goodbye to find better loading blogs that contain the same information. Second – too many banners ads will decrease your ‘personal blogging credibility’ “Oh yeah! I think you are one of those ‘quick rich or overnight millionaires wannabe”.

So what is the solution?

Why don’t you rotate your banner ads in random? Imagine what is in your visitors mind when he or she browse on your blog pages and notice the banner ‘is changing’, and also your blog will looks ’so catchy, neat and clean’

It is said that in order to become a successful individual in whatever endeavor you wish to take, you must have the right attitude and characteristics. This is also true with an entrepreneur. Not everyone can become an entrepreneur. But before anything else, what is an entrepreneur?

According to one definition, an entrepreneur is someone who finances or initiates a certain business undertaking. If you too would want to become a businessperson, you have to possess the characteristics of an entrepreneur.

What are the characteristics of an entrepreneur? Are they really important? Well, of course the characteristics are important because if you don’t possess them, you will have lower chances in terms of business success. The characteristics are as follows –

1. Risk taker – this is a very important characteristic of an entrepreneur. If you’re not willing to take any risk, then you will not succeed as a businessperson. In the everyday course of the business, you will encounter a lot of problems and challenges which you need to decide the soonest. Some risks are worth taking after careful evaluation especially if it’s for the good of the business. If you’re not a risk taker, then you’re not an effective entrepreneur and you’re bound to fail in your business undertaking.
2. Smart – being smart is another characteristic of an entrepreneur. You have to be clever, keen, and witty in all your business dealings. You have to show mental alertness and intelligence so that you can win the respect and trust of customers and other clients.
3. A leader – leadership is a characteristic that is hard to find among individuals. Not many individuals have the nerve to take the lead. To become a good entrepreneur, you must be a leader. Some say that this is a born characteristic but if you don’t possess it, you can also learn to become a leader. You’re quite lucky if you’re a born leader because you only have to develop your other qualities and use them when you choose to become an entrepreneur. As a leader, you should be able to guide, influence, and direct people. This way, you can handle all your business activities with ease and fewer worries.
4. Inner passion for business – another important characteristic is having the right passion for business. You have to maintain your enthusiasm and interest in the business. As long as you have the right drive and passion, you can run the business for a long time.
5. Honest and trustworthy – some say that eighty percent of an entrepreneur’s time is dedicated to pooling and attracting customers. This may be true because without the customers, the business will not exist. You have to be honest and trustworthy so that you can develop good will.

There are other characteristics that an entrepreneur should possess. These characteristics help him or her do all the business responsibilities and obligations that need to be done.

These are also the keys to business success. If you want to finance a certain business venture and run the business yourself, you should develop these characteristics. Without them, your business will soon fail and you will suffer the losses.

Be thankful if you already have the characteristics of an entrepreneur. All you need to do now is to study the market carefully, think of a good business venture, and provide for the capital and you’re all set.
